HOW FAST do these guys work? Consider this: All of the aboveground construction you see in these pics was accomplished in a week. This also demonstrates how much underground work there is—they have been digging and building for months. Much of this building and its extensive earthquake-proofing is far below street level.

Joe Wilson, my hero

JOE WILSON called Obama a liar during Obama's speech to Congress. Good for Wilson. Obama constantly presents himself as a man of reason and moderation surrounded by bickering yahoos. Of course, Obama has extreme difficulties with the truth, himself, as documented by this (one of many) article by AP. When AP, jeez, AP calls out Obama on truthfulness, you know Hell truly has frozen over. Concentrating on Wilson, and not the speech itself, is truly desperate.
